This beautiful mid 20th century still life by listed Swedish artist Nils Einar Sigvard Lindberg (1916–1993) is a wonderful example of Swedish Post-Impressionistic art in the mid century. Swedish Post-Impressionism in the mid-century is defined as blending soft, natural light with expressive color and brushwork, capturing the serene  everyday moments of Sweden with a modern, introspective touch.

Lindberg was a distinguished Swedish visual artist, born on April 12, 1916, in Limhamn, Sweden. Lindberg is widely recognized in the Swedish art community, having exhibited extensively and being both publicly and privately collected.

Lindberg honed his craft under the mentorship of fellow Swedish artist Jules Schyl (1893–1977), whose influence is evident in his work. He was an active member of several prestigious art organizations, including the Konstnärernas Samarbetsorganisation (KSO), the Skånska Konstnärsklubben, and the National Artists' Organization (KRO). His work was regularly featured in juried exhibitions by Skåne's Art Association, the Stockholm Salon, Limhamn's Art Association, and Trelleborg's Art Association. Notably, Lindberg's work is also part of the collection at the Malmö Museum.

Listed in the Biographical Handbook of Swedish Artists, published in 1987, Lindberg is best known for his paintings that focus on figurative motifs, landscapes, and still lifes. His contributions to Swedish art have made him a respected figure in the field, with a lasting legacy in both public and private collections.
