Mid-Century Vintage Abstract French Drawing of Spanish Style Bullfighting Scene Signed by Jean Target With Mat

Shipping calculated at checkout.

A recent purchase from Paris, this beautiful Mid-Century abstract drawing of a Spanish-style bullfighting scene is signed by French artist Jean Target. Target was primarily and prominently known for his drawings of Flamenco dancers, and is widely collected -including in The Victoria and Albert Museum in London. This piece is exceptional as it is a rare drawing that is inclusive of an animal/bull, as he primarily drew Flamenco dancers. This beautiful minimal and expressionist work looks to be rendered in conte (or charcoal). Please note there is natural aging of the paper, but overall in beautiful condition. If you have questions please email.

This piece comes ready-to-frame with a 3" acid-free archival mat and acid-free foamcore backing.
