This exceptional Mid-Century tapestry has an even more exceptional story. Though signed on the bottom “LEWIGUE”, a prominent Mid-Century abstract painter in France, this is actually a handwoven tapestry replica of one of his paintings as made for the artist by one of his friends. This information is per a Paris gallery who has previously exhibited his work. A very large work, this piece is exceptional with vibrant colors and no fraying. The skew is part of it's charm and an example of an artwork that has withstood the test of time.
This work comes ready-to-frame and hand stitched onto acid-free backing. The custom 4" acid-free mat and includes an acid-free foamcore backing.

All artwork is sent via UPS ground unless otherwise requested by the customer. Please note that all shipments are based on dimensions and weight – so please consider prior to purchasing.
All artwork is shipped in 14-21 days depending on the order details. Once orders are placed we will begin your custom mats and/or framing needs. Shipment timeframes are calculated based on stock availability of mat and frame materials. We do our best to get everything out to as quick as possible! We know purchases are exciting!
