Georges Offner (1877-1956) was a renowned French landscape painter active in the early 1900s, and is featured in the Benezit Dictionnaire des Peintres, Sculpteurs, Dessinateurs, et Graveurs. Offner began exhibiting his work in 1905 at the Salon des Indépendants in Paris, and was later showcased and represented at Raymonde Duval’s charming Paris gallery, which specialized in remarkable early 20th-century French artwork.

Offner’s talent garnered attention from notable art critics, including Guillaume Apollinaire, who mentioned him in group exhibition reviews for the French newspaper L’Intransigeant on March 5, 1911. In 1920, Offner moved to Pas-de-Calais to recover from a leg injury sustained during the war. Tragically, in 1940, his studio was destroyed by bombing, prompting his return to Paris and the cessation of his painting career.
