This beautiful early 1900's French figure drawing recently purchased in Paris is timeless in both beauty and artistic technique. Rendered in charcoal and conte, the essence of lines are textural and tonal with hints of sepia accents throughout. Drawn on supreme laid artists paper, the watermarks "MBM" and "Ingres D'Arches" authenticate the historically quality artists paper company originating in France in 1492. The textured paper captures the detail of each and every stroke. You will note the artists signature is prominently noted on the bottom right of the artwork.

This piece comes ready-to-frrame with 3" acid-free archival matting and foamcore backing.

This artwork is in beautiful condition and clarity, but does have some of the blemishes that come with time as we all do. Any marks to note other than the aging effects of the paper (slight foxing) have been captured in the detail images (most evident near her right arm).

This piece comes with a gallery style frame and 4" archival, acid free mat and Acrylite Conservation acrylic, filtering out 99% of harmful UV light. Frame style/color selection available on checkout. Additional mat and frame options available upon request.
